Siobhan
and Pete Poole take in abandoned or abused animals at their small rural
property, southwest of Stratford (Ontario, Canada).
The animals that make it to the Pooles' farm are
lucky. it's the animal version of winning the lottery. (The Toronto Star,
October 2002 - Excerpts from The
Toronto Star article) |

The Pooles spend about
$5,000. a year of their own money feeding and caring for the animals.
Sponsorships and donations are always appreciated. Large animals
(goats, sheep or pigs) cost from $240 to $360 per year to keep. Smaller
ones (chickens or turkeys) between $60. and $120.
