Desserts, of course, do not contain animal flesh,
but many do contain eggs, cream, cheese and other animal products that are high
in calories, cholesterol and fat. For many dessert recipes, substitutes such as
egg replacers, soy "milk", maple syrup (for honey), margarine, and cream cheese
alternatives such as Tofutti "Better than Cream Cheese" can be used.
