French Toast


- 2/3 cup (160 ml) soy beverage
- 4 tsp (20 ml) whole wheat pastry flour
- pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 tsp (7 ml) nutritional yeast
- 4 slices bread
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) vegetable oil

Whisk together the soy beverage, flour, salt, and nutritional yeast. Dip each slice of bread into the mixture, ensuring both sides are coated.

Place the oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the bread slices. When the first sides are golden brown, flip to do the other sides, lowering the heat slightly.

Serve immediately with maple syrup.

Serves 4.
